Teluk Cempedak or Teluk Chempedak (literally : Cempedak Bay) also known as Palm Beach is a beach in Kuantan, Pahang, Malaysia. It is located 5 kilometres east from the town centre in Kuantan. The white sandy beach and casuarinas and pine trees line the coast, with some rocky promontories facing the South China Sea. The fishing village of Beserah is about 5 kilometres (3.1 miles) away.
Cherating is a beach village located about 15minutes drive from Samsuria. It is famous for its beautiful beaches and activities which include sea sports. Local crafts, products and cultural experiences are available at the many local shops and centres. The quaint village also offers beachside bars, local and seafood restaurants.

Sungai Lembing is located about 26 km northwest of Kuantan. It used to contain the world's deepest underground tin mines. There is an interesting Tin Museum in the former mining town of Sungai Lembing. Just north of the Tin Museum is a "hanging bridge" (jambatan bergantung). Access is via a narrow, winding road at the base of the entrance to the Tin Museum. There is another hanging bridge on the outskirts of Sungai Lembing town (visible from the main road, on the right side). Bukit Panorama which is nearby Sungai Lembing is a popular place to watch the sunrise. Sixteen km from Sg. Lembing is Gunung Tapis Nature Park, where one can camp, fish, and shoot the rapids. Gunung Tapis itself is 1,512 m high.
Panching Cave, also knows as Gua Charah, lies 25 kilometers west of Kuantan. The cave is a Buddhist sanctuary - house a huge statue of the reclining Buddha and other smaller dedicated statues. All these are located in the intricate of the flower chambers, where the largest the top offers you a panoramic view of the surrounding area.
Pantai Balok is a beach destination 8km north the city. A popular spot for kite-flying and windsurfing, the beach is vast and spacious and ideal for picnics and events.
The space-age design of old Sultan Ahmad 1 Mosque located in the city centre of Kuantan consisted of a big dome and a rocket like minaret was built in 1962. It is named after the recorded Sultan Ahmad al-Mu’azzam Shah Ibni Almarhum Bendahara Sri Maharaja Tun Ali (23 May 1836 – 9 May 1914)
Located nearby the city of Kuantan, the Bukit Pelindung Recreational Forest is a popular green attraction in the area, perfect for a leisurely stroll along the pathway or a more challenging hike along jungle tracks. It has a great view of Kuantan from the top of the hill.

The fishing village is located along the Kemaman River where many fishing boats and vessels are berthed.
Kuantan is the capital city of Pahang and is about 40 minutes drive from Samsuria. There are many interesting city attractions besides the shopping malls and restaurants. Some of the most popurar shopping malls are East Coast Mall and Berjaya Mall. There are also many eateries ranging from stalls to restaurants offering both local and western cuisines. Along the coastal road towards the city there are seafood restaurants.
